In 2022 I got involved in the Chicago FGC and have been supporting both locals like FGC Meetups and regionals like Roundhouse. Beyond the Midwest, I've supported Melty Blood at majors and have engaged with many regional scenes and events, supporting my favorite games and connecting with people.
[ Analysis and storytelling ]
First stepped into commentary to fill in at Chicago locals in 2022. Since then, I've commentated offline for various games including BBCF and GBVSR with a focus on GGST and MBAACC. You can find me on Top 8 commentary when Melty is on the main stage, and I commentate my own netplay events as well. I play and follow each game as I focus on elaborating decision rationale and following player storylines.
[ Hand-Crafted Events ]
Niche games do not always have the legacy, experience, or crowd fit for mainstage special events. I support my community by designing events built to capitalize on special occasions: highlighting international players, fundraising for players, and connecting with other communities. In 2025 I built King of Melters to showcase all the global appearances for MBAACC in a special event. Often I bring my own setup and stream to schedule and run these unofficial events without disruption to larger tournament operations. I design graphics and event formats to make these memorable.
[ Visiting Various Scenes ]
As my involvement in the FGC has grown, I've visited various scenes across the country, visiting friends and getting a firsthand look at different regional communities. I've played at New York, Toledo, Dallas, Portland, and more locals as well as regionals like Sandia Showdown, Winter Showdown, and Fight Kingdom. I had the privilege of bringing MBAACC to Fight Kingdom in 2025, running the side event "Night Kingdom" for their local Melty scene. I also run online events for Southeast Asia MBAACC.
